“I use symbolism and allegorical minimalist compositions to illustrate complex ideas and establish a new paradigm for societal identity. My work seeks to open a dialogue to communicate the essential experiences of the individual including loss and connection and the consequences of impunity. The use of symbolism, rooted in theories of humanism and universality, contrasts with delicate, subtle shifts in tone and fields of color. My latest work expresses solidarity and portrays the steadfast spirit; deconstructing real and cultural borders through abstraction and a redefined language.”
Aaron Boucher is both a multidisciplinary conceptual and figurative artist whose works include mixed media on paper, canvas, and sculpture. He earned a Master of Architecture from Texas Tech University and worked with noted contemporary Architecture firms in New York City while developing his minimalist design ethos. Aaron has won numerous design awards and competitions, and his works have displayed in galleries in New Jersey, New York City, and across the country to critical acclaim.
DAYBREAK
Opening October 13, 2022
1001 Bloomfield Street, Hoboken, NJ
This series of paintings are self-referential and optimistic, and share the perspective of capturing the first light of day when the possibilities are endless and searching and finding the path to lead by. I believe that we all wonder and question if we're on the right path and are constantly looking for guides to realign or reaffirm ourselves.
